While the action packed thriller is more internal government network, the movie is kicked off by extreme elder financial abuse.  It is sickening!  It seems like something just on the big screen, but this happens EVERY DAY, to all ages, in all countries!  Older adults can be the target more often.  

According to the FBI, scam artists seek out older Americans because of the following:  

• they have concentrated wealth

• they are less likely to report fraud

• they were raised to be polit and trusting

• mental impairments may make it difficult for them to recognise financial schemes.

• women living alone are twice as likely to fall victim to financial abuse or scams

• confirm power of attorneys are named

• protect SOCIAL SECURITY numbers and accounts - never give out ssn out  - especially over the phone

• provide malware/firewalls on computers
